If you're having trouble launching your device camera while using Edge Wallet (such as during QR code scanning), follow these steps to resolve the issue.

General Tips

  • Ensure your device's operating system is up to date.

  • Restart the Edge Wallet app and try again.

  • Restart your device.


iOS Devices

Step 1: Check Camera Permissions

  1. Open your iPhone Settings.

  2. Scroll down and tap Privacy & Security.

  3. Tap Camera.

  4. Find and toggle Edge Wallet to ON (green).

Step 2: Check Screen Time Restrictions (if applicable)

  1. Go to Settings.

  2. Tap Screen Time > Content & Privacy Restrictions.

  3. Tap Allowed Apps and make sure Camera is allowed.

Step 3: Reinstall Edge Wallet

  1. Delete the Edge Wallet app.

  2. Reinstall it from the App Store.

  3. Re-enable camera permissions when prompted.


Android Devices

Step 1: Check Camera Permissions

  1. Open Settings.

  2. Tap Apps or Apps & Notifications.

  3. Tap Edge Wallet.

  4. Tap Permissions > Camera.

  5. Select Allow while using the app or Allow.

Step 2: Clear Cache (if issue persists)

  1. Go to Settings > Apps > Edge Wallet.

  2. Tap Storage & cache.

  3. Tap Clear Cache.

Step 3: Reinstall Edge Wallet

  1. Uninstall the app.

  2. Reinstall from the Google Play Store.

  3. Re-enable camera permissions when prompted.
