Force closing is a method of shutting down the app running on your device. Please note this is not uninstalling. Uninstalling should be avoided if we are troubleshooting issues.
Force close on Android:
Method 1:
Swipe down from the top of your device to show the notification panel
Swipe down again and then tap on the "Gear" or settings icon
Tap on "Apps"
Find and tap on Edge
Tap "Force Stop"
Method 2:
From the Home Screen, swipe up from the bottom of the screen. Swipe slow to see all open apps. NOTE: On Samsung the same action is the 3 vertical lines or on Android devices without gesture the square icon
Swipe right or left to locate Edge
Swipe up on the app preview to close Edge
Force close on iOS:
From the Home Screen, swipe up from the bottom of the screen. Swipe slow to see all open apps
Swipe right or left to locate Edge
Swipe up on the app preview to close Edge
