Edge had integrated this Bitcoin Layer-2 blockchain with a shared vision of being more programmability and use cases for BTC. It seems the market did not take such interest and the tough choice was made to deprecate the ecosystem that they had built.
What happened?
Botanix Labs has sunsetted their Bitcoin layer-2 network after about one year of being live. Very few people were using the chain or developing on it, so it didn't make sense economically to keep it going. Their announcement (on X) gave users approximately 1 month to withdraw BTC to mainnet.

What if I missed the deadline?
Any assets remaining on the Botanix chain after July 9, 2026 will be swept by the network's federation. Assets will not be recoverable through Edge or any other wallet. With that said, it may still be possible to open a support ticket in their Discord Server (https://discord.gg/botanixlabs) to get specific assistance with your case.
