Due to the recent Monero hard fork on 08/13/22, the widely utilized MyMonero API and SDK implementation which Edge is reliant on is in need of updates. Unforeseen roadblocks prior to the hardfork have caused delays in MyMonero’s ability to make these updates immediately, though we’re in active communication with their team and can assure all users that this is of highest priority.
Prior to these updates being made, users will experience issues with their Monero wallet syncing properly in Edge. Note that all funds held within Edge are safe, it’s the ability to properly sync which is being impacted.
If you need access to your funds immediately, you can export your private key by following these steps:
- Tap and hold on your XMR wallet
- Tap "Master Private Key." NOTE: Do not store this key digitally as anyone with this key can access your funds.
After completing these steps, you can then take the Master Private Key and import this into a functioning wallet. Some examples can be found here: https://monero.com/wallets.
While the MyMonero implementation within Edge is actively being worked on, we unfortunately do not yet have an exact timeline as to when this updates will be available for us to implement in Edge. While all funds are safe for users simply holding their XMR in Edge, those that are sending, receiving, and actively viewing their balance will experience issues. We do advise not sending XMR into and out of your Edge wallet until this is resolved.

As soon as we have a proper timeline estimate on when these changes will be implemented, we’ll be notifying users. If you need assistance please reach out to our support team at support@edge.app.
