Sending cryptocurrency requires a network fee. When attempting to send a Pulsechain token (PRC20), from an empty or very low balance Pulsechain (PLS) wallet, users will receive "Insufficient PLS" error. Tokens cannot pay their own fees, so some of the mainnet currency is needed.
You will need to add PLS to the wallet that is giving the "Insufficient PLS" error.
To buy PLS simply tap on "Buy" located at the bottom navigation bar and then select the option that works best for you.
NOTE: this option may not be available for some cryptocurrencies. In this case, users may need to first purchase a popular asset with lots of exchange liquidity, such as BTC or LTC, to then be able to swap into a newer asset, such as PLS.
To receive PLS to the parent wallet you can copy the PLS address or Token address and then send the parent address funds. The receiving address can be found by tapping into the wallet and then tap "Receive."
If you have another asset (not the token that is giving the error because a swap is still a send and will require the same fee) you can also exchange into PLS. Tap exchange located at the bottom navigation and follow the prompts. Example: You have BTC and can exchange into PLS to send your token.
Note:
- You may not have had to pay a 'gas' or 'network fee' if you primarily use a Centralized Exchange to hold and move funds around for you. Edge is self-custodial, and enables direct interaction with the blockchain, so network fees may be more apparent when you are submitting transaction on-chain.
- If you recently split your wallet to recover a token sent to a wrong network, the wallet likely doesn't have PLS to pay fees. This typically is corrected by sending funds to that wallet from a wallet has an PLS balance.
