Sending or Receiving a Transaction with Edge

Cryptocurrency transactions usually confirm within minutes to hours when the network (e.g., BTC, ETH) isn’t congested. During high traffic, delays can stretch to days—a common issue across all wallets, not just Edge.

Receiving Crypto

Confirmation time depends on the sender’s chosen fee, which you can’t control. Verify with the sender that the funds were sent and request a transaction ID to track its status on Blockchair.

Sending Crypto

To speed up your transaction, increase the network fee—Edge doesn’t profit from this; it all goes to the network. Adjust the fee at the "Slide to Confirm" screen:

  • Tap the Fee field.

  • Select "Change Mining Fee."

  • Pick low, optimal, high, or custom.

Handling Delayed Outgoing Transactions

If a transaction takes too long:

  1. Check its status in a block explorer (from transaction history, tap "Show in Explorer").

    • If found, it’s still pending—keep waiting.

    • If not found, it’s been dropped by the network.

  2. For dropped transactions, resync the wallet:

    • Long press the wallet on the assets list.

    • Tap "Resync."

  3. You can also consider acceleration if that option is available. Please review: Edge RBF - How to accelerate a transaction

Pending Purchase Transactions

For crypto bought in Edge, confirmation depends on the network and third-party settlement times.

This streamlined process helps you manage transactions efficiently in Edge!
